    Crickets chirped, and owls hooted as a large building rose out of the ground. On closer inspection, the crickets were fake, simply recorded voices, and the owls were real, though covered in scales and were colored in different shades of blue. The building, a victorian era theatre, looked as if it was flickering in and out of existence, suddenly there, suddenly just a shadow, suddenly not anything, and suddenly there again.    Bit by bit, creatures seemed to trickle into the building.
